Lives and works in Los Angeles.

Adam Silverman was born in New York City, raised in Connecticut and received Bachelor of Fine Arts and Bachelor of Architecture degrees from The Rhode Island School of Design, Providence, RI. He went on to complete a Master of Business Administration from University of California, Los Angeles. After practicing as licensed architect in Los Angeles, he turned his fascination with ceramics into a full-time career as a potter. Silverman creates ceramic pots, sculptures, and site specific installations that examine the theatricality of installation. He has produced solo exhibitions at Nasher Sculpture Center, Dallas, TX; Laguna Art Museum, Laguna Beach, CA; Tomio Koyama Gallery, Tokyo, Japan; Edward Cella Art + Architecture, Los Angeles, CA; Kimbell Art Museum, Fort Worth, TX; Museum of Contemporary Art, Los Angeles, CA; and San Jose Museum of Art, San Jose, CA. Group exhibitions include High Desert Test Sites, Yucca Valley, CA; ACME Gallery, Los Angeles, CA; Pulliam Gallery, Portland, CA; Museum of Contemporary Craft, Portland, OR; and Pasadena Museum of California Art, Pasadena, CA. His work is included in collection of the Los Angeles County Museum of Art, Los Angeles, CA; Museum of Contemporary Craft, Portland, OR; and The Nasher Sculpture Center, Dallas, TX.
